Learn to weave on a rigid heddle loom and create a piece of wearable art. Choose from color and weave patterns such as log cabin for more advanced weavers or beginners can make a classy cowl in plain weave.
What To Expect: We will meet for two classes that are three hours each. The first class will introduce the looms and warping process. We will choose colors for our cowls and set up the looms for weaving with a short break halfway through. The second workshop we will work on weaving the cowls, learn hemstitching and leave class with a finished piece.
What Is Included in Tuition: All materials will be provided for this workshop including rigid heddle looms, a variety of colors of wool to choose from for warping and weaving and all other weaving and sewing notions needed to complete the cowl.
What to Bring: A water bottle and snack or light dinner if you would like.
What We Will Produce: Each student will walk away from class with a finished cowl that only needs to be wet finished at home (instructions will be provided).
