Add tools to your wheel-throwing toolbox! During this 12-week class session we’ll explore techniques to strengthen your wheel-throwing skills while adding complexity and visual interest to the vessels you make. Demonstrations and discussions will be focused on combining multiple thrown elements, working with/shaping larger amounts of clay, and altering thrown forms. Each topic will be covered over the course of a few weeks with planned lessons and student-requested topics. Previous wheel-throwing experience is required. Class participants should expect to purchase 1–2 bags of additional clay during the session, and plan to spend time outside of class collecting inspiration and throwing.
